The Viessmann Group is a family business, founded in 1917 in Hof in Germany. Today Viessmann is led in the fourth generation by Max Viessmann and stands for continuity and the long term values team oriented, responsible and entrepreneurial. Our many years of experience as a family business also benefit our Clean & Cool Solutions business area.
In recent years, we have continuously expanded our Clean & Cool Solutions business area. The acquisition of BMIL Technologies and Canadian Curtis for the North American market has enabled us to offer our integrated products and services to a wider range of customers with a wider geographical reach.
Today, we offer our customers in the food service, Horeca and healthcare industry a comprehensive portfolio of cold and clean room solutions: Cold and freezer rooms for large-scale kitchens, bars, and restaurants but also for pharmaceutical applications are part of our portfolio. The medical and life science industry, where climate-controlled conditions and clean environments are of utmost importance, also relies on clean room solutions from Viessmann Technologies, which is part of Viessmann Clean & Cool Solutions.
Since 2003 Vitec, shortly for Viessmann Technologies, offers clean room solutions for the hospital, life science and pharma, high-tech industry, e-mobility, indoor growing and many more to protect people, the environment or sensitive goods and operations. Viessmann Technologies is part of Viessmann Refrigeration Solutions business area and ensures clean and controlled environments.

High quality cabinets: Production of refrigerated cabinets starts in Norpe, Porvoo, Finland.
1974
Hygienic cold rooms: Production of cold rooms starts in Viessmann, Hof, Germany.
2003
Clean room technology: The new clean room product line Viessmann Technologies GmbH established in Hof.
2012-2013
Leading European supplier: Viessmann Group acquires the factories in Hof and in Porvoo, and creates a Refrigeration Business Area.
2019-2021
Expanding service offering: Viessmann acquires several service companies from Norway, Germany, Denmark, Czech and Finland to strengthen local presence.
Today
Viessmann has set ambitious climate targets to continue this path.
